We host 3 ‘Try-it Nights’ per year in January, April and September, watch our calendar for exact dates. Alternatively feel free to contact us at any time to learn more.
We welcome and encourage anyone over the age of 18 to join us. Our league is CO-ED and we are actively building our CO-ED team, the Eat Side Wheeler’s.
If you are a proficient skater, or skater from another league we are always accepting new members.
If you are interesting in being a part of the league, but aren’t interested in playing, there are many other roles we could include you in, so don’t be shy!

Like any sport, accidents can happen, but we take every precaution to avoid them. Before you start any contact drills we teach you how to fall and skate safely. We have benchmark skills that must be met before we allow you to play in a game. You are also required to wear all your equipment at all times.
Roller Derby does require a certain amount of fitness but you don’t have to be there when you start. All shapes and sizes are successful in different ways and we welcome everyone.

In Roller Derby a ‘game’ is called a ‘Bout’. Most skaters will get to play their first game within 6 months of joining. You have to prove your skills before you can play, to make sure that you will not injure yourself or anyone else on the track.
We do not offer childcare at practice. However there are many folks with children of varying ages in the league who might be able to help you find a new sitter.
Beginner skaters (AKA Fresh Meat) skate once a week on Monday nights from 7:30pm – 9:30pm
Not an option, we own you now. JK
Sometimes Roller Derby isn’t your thing, or life gets crazy. We completely understand. If you want to quit completely then we ask that you give us 30 days notice, no questions asked. If you just need to take some time off, we offer a Leave Of Absence (LOA) for the time you need. If skating just isn’t your thing, there are many other ways to be involved in the league. Just ask. 🙂
Dues are $40 per month. Equipment and jerseys are an extra cost. Games are sometimes out of the area, but we always have carpools and we share hotel rooms. We also do lots of fundraising to cover as much of these costs as possible.
